In some cases, we're seeing Lenovo student laptops lose their wifi driver. The problem manifests as students not able to connect to wifi, and their wireless card shows as disabled.
To solve this, we've added the correct wifi driver to the Filewave Kiosk where it can be installed through self-service. If you have any trouble with this issue, you can send folks to the help desk and they'll get you squared away.
We think that this happened from us sending out an updated wifi/bluetooth driver to enable bluetooth, and we think that that driver update may have been interrupted or corrupted on certain computers. Our initial hypothesis is that reinstalling the Lenovo wifi driver will fix the issue. Brady is going to work on putting the driver in the filewave kiosk so it can be self-installed in these cases.
