If your mouse is not working first make sure that is has a suitable surface to glide on. You may need a mouse pad to help the laser in the mouse function. If the surface isn't the issue, please see the Keyboard not Functioning article. The steps are identical with the exception that a mouse PS2 connector is green, while a keyboard PS2 connector is purple.
