Resetting your Password from your Computer Sign in Screen

This article will show you how to reset your password on your computer's sign in screen. Note that this method using multifactor authentication, so you will need to have this set up and your phone on you to approve the request.

Also note that this password syncs in multiple places. This password is used for the following accounts.

  • Email
  • Classlink Login
  • Computer Login

  1. First, sign out of your computer if you haven't already. From the sign in screen, you can click the Reset Password option under the password box if your name is already displayed on the lockscreen. If not, simply click 'Other User' and type in your full email address for the username, and the reset password button should appear.

  2. After a moment of loading, you will get a CAPTCHA request. Please complete this and click Next
  3. Next, you will need to choose how to get access back to your account. I would recommend choosing Approve a notification on my authenticator app as it is the most secure method and typically the easiest.

  4. After you approve the notification on your authenticator app, you will be asked to prove through another method that you are the person who owns the account. If you use your phone number for this, you will need to type it in as well as give it the code that it texts or calls you with.

  5. After this, you will be given the option to reset your password. Note that it could take up to 10 minutes for it to sync to your classlink and email account.
