If you have recently changed computers, you may notice that PowerSchool Quick Exports do not open up in excel by default. This can make them very challenging to read. In this article, I am going to show you how to fix that.
First, you need to look up Default Apps on the taskbar.
On the next screen, scroll to the bottom until you see Choose default by file type
Once you get here, search for .text at the top of the screen and click the box that pops up.
Next, click Choose an app on my PC
Next, you will need to navigate to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\root\Office16\EXCEL.EXE and click on EXCEL.EXE .
This will set Excel to be your new default for .text files.
