ActivInspire and Newline do not play nicely with one another. We know this and have encountered various issues between the two. One issue is that sometimes students/teachers are no longer able to touch and drag objects or words in ActivInspire on the Newline.
The fix that we have found is installing a different version of ActivInspire. This may mean installing an older version than the one that is currently being ran.
It's also helpful to completely remove ActivDriver and also ActiView.
