100, 300, 500 Series ActiveBoards:

100 series ActivBoards have a light grey trim. The serial number can be located behind the upper left corner of the ActivBoard, facing outwards. The 300 and 500 series ActivBoards have a dark grey trim. The serial number can be located on either side of the ActivBoard between the pen holders.

Known Issue: Shorter lifespan than Generation 2 boards, usually due to speaker or power issues

Troubleshooting: loud speaker buzz is frequently a sign of a bad audio cable between the board and computer. Test using a shorter aux cable and a laptop to see if problem persists. 

Troubleshooting: After power outages, the board needs to be manually powered back on using the power button on the left-hand side next to the pen holder. If the power button is red, the board is turned off.

ActivBoard Touch

ActivBoard Touch uses a soft-tip pen or finger as touch input; *Still uses a projector

ActivPanel

Touch screen, self-contained interactive whiteboard. Several in the district on carts, some wall-mounted

Known Issues: Low sound quality with some external inputs (like DVD players, computers, etc.). Fix: Add external speakers directly to the output you're having sound problems with

Newline RS Touch

Touchscreen, self-contained interactive whiteboard. Most in the district are wall-mounted. 

Known Issue: Ink color inconsistency (i.e., marking with green, then suddenly changes to black, then back to green). Fix: Tech has to update the board's firmware. Open a ticket and we'll tend to it.
