If you need to create a new course in Canvas for a club, activity, special event, or to cross-list your classes differently, as long as you are a teacher in Canvas you should be allowed to do that.
Step 1) Log in to Canvas
Step 2) Click on "Start a New Course" in the lower right hand side of your Dashboard
Step 3) Give your course a name, decide if you want it private (for class members only) or public, and click "Create Course."
Step 4) After clicking "Create Course," the new course will open. Add students by clicking on "People" in the left hand navigation bar, then click on the "+People" button. You can add student names either by username or their @students.maryville-schools.org email address.
