If you're experiencing problems with your date and time being out of sync, we think it's because your battery may have been very low or totally exhausted and unable to keep it's time. Normally this wouldn't be a problem because your computer re-syncs it's time periodically when it's connected to the school network, but since we've been out of school for a significant period of time it's not had a chance to re-sync.
All of our fixes to attempt to fix this remotely have been unsuccessful, so the solution below has been our most reliable way to fix this so far. We've only seen a few cases of this though, so we're still trying to gather info about what works and what doesn't work.
To solve your problem ....
If possible, head to whichever Maryville school is closest to you (doesn't have to be your school), and pull up in the firelane or parking lot as close as possible to a classroom with windows. From there you should be able to connect a school issued device to the MCS WiFi network. It may take a little bit of trial and error to find a spot where the WiFi reaches outside, but each school should have at least a couple places that should work. Once connected, do a full restart on the computer (hit the Windows icon in the lower left hand corner of Windows and select the power icon --> restart). Once it restarts, log back in and see if the time is correct. To help prevent this from happening again, try to make sure your computer battery doesn't go totally dead.
